• James has 30 years of experience in investment banking in Global Markets covering non-bank financial institutions, and subsequently in private banking.
• He started his career in investment banking at Chase Manhattan in London. In 1999 He was asked to join the private bank to manage the merger of the Chase and JP Morgan European private banking business. Subsequent to the merger he became a private banker at JP Morgan Private Bank covering Ultra High Net Worth UK and Irish clients. In 2005 he was approached by  Coutts & Co. in London to set up the Private Office (UHNW client business).
• In 2008 he moved to Switzerland as General Manager for Coutts & Co., Geneva.
• In 2015 he was appointed  CEO of Barclays Bank Suisse.
• James joined Banque Eric Sturdza in early 2019, and the Executive Board in 2020.
